Sharing her knowldge about animals and the work of RSPCA is always fun for Emily

SPCA Tem member Justine Interview

Emily is a long term RSPCA employee- she has been with RSPCA Victoria for 15 years!

Emily's current role is Education and Training Officer. Her responsibilities includes teaching school students about the needs and feelings of animals and the role that RSPCA plays in the community.

As a life long animal lover, one of the things she loves the most is inviting visitors into the Education Centre and Barn at the RSPCA’s Burwood East site. In the Barn the resident farm animals have become part of the education programs, both in person and online. Educators share rescue stories with students and other participants, helping them to gain a greater understanding about the work that RSPCA does for animals of all sizes and species.

Emily also works with the rest of the Education and Training team in Victoria to offer excursions, holiday programs, short courses and deliver a Certificate II in Animal Care in partnership with Box Hill Institute.

The favourite part of Emily's day? When she gets to spend time with animals such as dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds and even sometimes baby goats. No wonder she loves her job so much!
